I am Aisha Zia, an award-winning British Pakistani playwright, theatre-maker and dramaturg, known for creating politically charged, socially engaged work.

I was recently appointed Artistic Director and Joint CEO of Kali Theatre. My plays Our Glass House and No Guts, No Heart, No Glory received an Amnesty International Freedom of Expression commendation and a Scotsman Fringe First.

I am also the founder of 62 Gladstone Street, a social platform that showcases British South Asian artists, activists, and writers – from both Muslim and non-Muslim backgrounds – across Peterborough and the wider UK.

My recent credits include The Table, created and written for Refugee Week and now published by Bloomsbury. I also produced and curated the PLATFORMA Festival in Peterborough with Counterpoints Arts at the Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery.
